Sunday 9th November - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny:).

Walk 1 – Remembrance photo shoot.

Wow what wonderful weather, wall to wall sunshine with light winds making it ideal for the Remembrance Sunday parade and service in the seafront here in Felixstowe! I left home at 10.20 to walk just around the corner to St Johns Church to see everyone leave. Line- up and march off down to the seafront near the town hall, I sat on the kerb to get low and got some lovely pics as the marched past! I then had to walk down the hill in time for them to reach the War Memorial and bumped into fellow photographer Alan Boyle. There was a large crowd gathered and it was better this year as there was no fence erected, the two rowing boats and the harbour master were once again just off shore, it was the perfect day to row down from Felixstowe Ferry. I found a nice spot on the grass to take a selection of shoots, the highlight being the playing of the Last Post, note perfect by Kevin Harrold who we know, I snapped the Mayor Coran Franklin who we also know lay her wreath. At the end of the service I sit opposite the town hall to watch everyone march off to applause and managed to get a good selection of shoots made even better by the deep blue sky:) I then spend a couple of hours sorting out my photos meaning we had missed the chance for a picnic somewhere!

Walk 2 – Felixstowe prom with Mag.

It was nearly three by the time we were ready for our daily walk and it had clouded over a bit so we just headed down to the seafront and walked to The Fludyers which was pleasant enough and back up the hill past Harvest house stopping at Tesco’s for a cake to go with my cuppa!
